BRAND NEW FLOORING THROUGHOUT HOME AS OF FEBRUARY 2022. BRAND NEW 65" TV IN LIVING ROOM FEB 2022.
Coconut Treehouse, site 1080 is our personal family beach home located in the Holiday Inn section of the award-winning Ocean Lakes Community. It is wonderfully located just 5 homes (150 ft) from the Beach and 10 homes (250ft) from the Sand Dollar Lake! it is also located near the Ocean Lakes Recreation Center, Pool Areas, and Playground Areas.
We are different than other properties at Ocean Lakes in what we provide. For your $350 cleaning fee the home is completely cleaned before you arrive by a contract company, PLUS they provide all fresh linens and all bath towels and wash cloths (fresh, changed out between every renter, not washed onsite and reused). You only need to show up with your beach towels. And if you want to bring you own linens you can, but there will be fresh white ones on the bed when you arrive. It is not cheaper to bring your own as we must provide linens with each rental; they clean and provide linens, bath towels (16) and washcloths (16) for the home. Three less things to worry about trying to pack (linens, bath towels and washcloths).
THERE IS A $15 PER DAY PER VEHICLE CHARGE, THAT IS PAID TO OCEAN LAKES VISITORS CENTER BEFORE ENTRY IS GRANTED. IT IS PAID FOR THE ENTIRE STAY BEFORE YOU ARE ACCEPTED ON OCEAN LAKES PROPERTY. NONE OF THAT MONEY GOES TO THE OWNER! THIS IS AN OCEAN LAKES CHARGE FOR EVERY VEHICLE ON PREMISES.
Our family beach home has 5 bedrooms with 3.5 baths. We have four queen beds and four double beds, and each bedroom has TV and direct access to a bathroom. Our dining table seats 8 with additional bar area for 4 more. We also have seating outside on either the upper balcony, middle deck, or lower concrete pad area.
During June, July, and August we only have weekly units from Saturday to Saturday. Long Weekend or Monthly units are available from September through May.
This is a FAMILY Vacation Home. We maintain a very strict policy of NO SMOKING, NO FAMILY FAMILY PETS, AND NO HOME PARTIES. Our rules are enforced without exception and are not meant to restrict your vacation but to enhance your vacation! We are proud of our home and when we do not have guests this is where we stay. Our top Vacation rental booking tips:
Finding your best deal:
- The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines have discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Finding the perfect vacation home:
- Begin by selecting vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. COCONUT TREEHOUSE, 5 bed\/3.5 bath, 1 minute walk to beach, Holiday Inn section has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property management company before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you love, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of problems.
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Document any issues with the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a wonderful time? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
