How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
How to get the best value:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
How to choose the perfect rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- To start, have your family commit to dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. C-12 Seahorse Lane. Beautiful 5 BR, 3 BA, 300 feet from the beach! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is normally available online. Otherwise, contact the host before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Know before you go:
- Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to stimulate new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
