Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:

  • To start, have your family agree to vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • 9th Floor Margate Tower
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Tips for your stay:

  • Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Note any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
