Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- To get the best value, consider changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Select dates and budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. March Spring Break Special! Sea Glass Tower on the beach, steps from the city. has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property owner before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your group.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Tips for a fantastic stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make sure damages are not linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Contact the property manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
