How to find the best vacation rental experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To get the best value, try shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Choosing and booking the rightrental home:
- Begin by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Ground Floor Golf Course Views Pool and Gym has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before reserving your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is suitable for your family.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the host right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to stimulate more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review.
