Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing the best rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • Start by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Ocean Lakes Private Beach & Fountain View Tower has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property owner before you reserve the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your group.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Advice for your stay:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Upon arrival, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
