Tricks and tips to get the best vacation rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning and picking your prefect Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Start by selecting trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Coastal Escape: 2BR King Suite @ Wyndham Seawatch has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, call the host before you book the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • To make sure damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the property manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
