Tricks and tips to get the perfect vacation property experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting and booking your Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Start by choosing a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Direct Ocean Front View - St. Clements has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Tips for your stay:
- Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your stay, record any problem areas during check in. Speak to the host right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
