Our top Rental property booking tips and tricks:

How to get the best rental value:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the largest vacation home within budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your Search:

  • First and foremost, have your family commit to vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Direct OCEANFRONT 1st floor End Unit Myrtle Beach Resort has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking pages. If not, email or call the host before you reserve the property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your vacation.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect your property!
  • At Check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
