Tricks and tips to get the very best vacation home experience:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have coupons for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Selecting the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Start by having your group choose a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Oceanfront w\/ Indoor Waterparks at Dunes Village! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the host before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your trip.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
- If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
Have a great stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas during check in. message the host right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
