Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your rental search:

  • Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Oceanfront w\/ Indoor Waterparks at Dunes Village! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before reserving the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what is best for your vacation family.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

During your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your life at home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to propel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
