How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- To get the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers typically offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Filter your search:
- Select your vacation week and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Escape to Your Beach Front Haven has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
- If your family is bringing pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
Have a great stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Upon arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
