Strategies to get the very best rental home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental home in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Golden Mile~Updated~Stunning View~Rooftop Pool has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you love, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
Tips for a great stay:
- Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- Record any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a excellent stay? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
