No expense was spared during the bathroom remodel. Out with the old, in with the new! The bathroom was gutted from floor to ceiling. A striking, tile, walk-in shower was constructed. Strategies to get the optimal rental home experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the most suitable rental within your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Make a plan and pick a perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Select a group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Luxurious Oceanfront Queen Suite - Fully Renovated! Palace Resort 1203 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available online. If not, email the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or could be applied to your contract.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
Some things to know before you go:
- Add the host's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
- During check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a terrific stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
