Tips and Tricks to get the very best vacation rental experience:
Getting the most from your budget:
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. To book the best vacation home for your budget, we recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have deals for local accommodations and attractions.
Make a plan and pick the rightvacation home:
- Start by choosing vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Luxury Ocean Front 3 Bedroom Condominium on dead end Shore Drive has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what is right for your vacation group.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. text the property manager right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
