Our top Rental home tips:
How to get the best value:
- To find the most suitable rental for your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain discounts for nearby tours and attractions.
Choosing the perfect rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose a group leader, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Maisons-Sur-Mer*Resort Amenities*HeatedPool*Restaurants*WINTER Specials has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
Tips for a smooth stay:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the host right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental while you are out. Protect your property!
- Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to propel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
