Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Find your best deal:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To get the most suitable rental within your budget, we suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Filter your search:
- First and foremost, have your family select trip dates and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Monterey Bay 1BR - Direct Oceanfront - Pools, NEW! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
- If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
During your stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- At Check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Be respectful. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
