Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have discounts for local accommodations and attractions.
Filter your rental search:
- Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Myrtle Beach Resort Amenity-Rich Escape 4205 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More considerations for your visit:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Note any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Upon check-out, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
