How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Finding your best deal:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. - Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.

- Did your family have a great time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
