Our top Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips and tricks:
When to book & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting and booking a perfectrental home:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration you need. Ocean Lakes Private SeaShed has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before you reserve the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
More considerations:
- Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- During check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
