Oceanfront property....Little Troubles by the Sea
The handsome view from 1136 has not changed, but 1136 has seen a change from the ground up. We had to completely rebuild in 2024 after a fire happened in December 2023. Sitting on site 1136 is a brand new home and we are excited for you to see it. We now have 5 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. We continue to have comfortable seating in the room with all the windows to see out. We have part of the deck covered so if you choose you may sit in a shaded area instead of the sun. If it is raining you may still savor the fresh ocean air and not get wet. If you just need to come in and cool off a little, you do not have to leave the view behind. We still have many windows looking out at the striking ocean.
One very important change to 1136 is an elevator. My mother was handicapped and if we had not had a way to get her into the home she would have been heart broken, so we made sure that if someone is in need of help getting up the steps we had an elevator installed to the main floor of the home. Just let us know and we will make it accessible for you.
The view from the main room is just as pretty as if you were on the deck. There is plenty of comfortable seating for you to appreciate. We have a huge mounted T.V. on the wall over a cozy fireplace for those cool evenings in late fall, winter and early spring.
We again have a completely equipped kitchen with plenty of cabinets, drawers and a pantry. You will also find a enormous island with seating for four and dining room table that sits 6.
The downstairs, or first floor, bedroom has a king-sized bed and there is a door leading into the bathroom from the bedroom with an ensuite. This bathroom has a full-sized clothes washer and dryer. There is a half bath on the first floor for a dash from the beach or outside.
There is a sizable landing area at the top of the stairs with a full bathroom off of it. We have put a couch and flat screen TV here as a gaming area for those enthusiasts. Don't forget to bring your gaming systems and movies.
There are 4 bedrooms upstairs. A great addition we have in our new home is a bespoke-constructed bunkroom. It has 2 twins beds above with 2 queens floor level. We now have two bedrooms on second floor on the ocean front. One of these has a queen bed and the other a king bed. The ocean front wall of these 2 rooms has 3 huge windows so you have a 180 degree view of the ocean right in front of you. Go to bed at nighttime looking at the stars and watch the sun come up in the morning without getting out of bed. The fourth bedroom upstairs has a daybed bed. All bedrooms have TVs in them.
The ocean front deck is nice and large with comfortable swivel, rocker chairs. A table that sits six people . There is another seating area with 2 chairs and a modest table along with a couple of recliners for sunbathing.
Underneath the home we have a bespoke constructed bar and a TV. We are planning on some bar stools and other seating to enjoy. There is an area big enough for corn hole. Bring your boards or other yard games and play at the home instead of in the street as many do. We also have a gas grille there.
You will find when you come off of the beach, which has an entrance diagonally across from the home, you can step into an enclosed shower with both hot and cold water and a faucet for your feet if you just need to rinse the sand off. An area accessed from the shower has a place to store your beach chairs and toys and we have supplied an umbrella for your use.
Ocean Lakes is a fabulous modest community in itself. It is run by a family with a family ambiance. You can come into the community and find everything you need without having to leave the facility. It is a 24 hour gated and security patrolled community with nearly one mile of ocean front beach.. There are many amenities inside the gates such as an outdoor Olympic sized pool with lifeguards and an indoor heated pool, three kiddie pools and a WATERPARK which is complimentary admission to Ocean Lakes guests. The waterpark has a 705 foot lazy river for everybody to enjoy but especially for those that do not care for the thrilling matt racing slides or curving tubes.
You will also find 8 fresh water lakes, multiple kids's playgrounds, basketball courts. horseshoes, shuffleboard, putt putt, corn toss and an arcade with more than 80 games.
This home will sleep a max. of 9 adults in four bedrooms with a total of 3 twin beds for kids in a couple of the bedrooms. We do not provide linens or towels.
Because this is a family aligned community the rental of this home is intended for couples and families NOT a group of young singles. You must be 25 years of age to rent this home and must be staying there during the rental time. We do not rent for multiple weeks or extended time in winter.

Our top Vacation rental tips:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:

May, September, and even October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
