Tips to get the best vacation property experience:
Get the most from your rental home budget:
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Finding the best rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Oceanfront King Suite with Sofa~Landmark 830 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
Considerations for your stay:
- Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- Note any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be respectful. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
