Our top Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:
Sticking to your spending plan:
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the largest rental home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Finding the perfect vacation home:
- Start by selecting vacation dates and a budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Pelican's Watch Unit 102 - Oceanfront has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the host before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or applied to your contract.
Tips to have a terrific stay:
- Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that no damages are linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. message the host immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
