Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Get the best rental home value:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
- Some property management companies offer rate reductions for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Remodeled-Gorgeous! Wide Views-Steps 2 Beach-Kingston Plantation-Pool-HotTub has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before reserving the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
During your stay:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Upon check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to propel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
