Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Sticking to your spending plan:
- To find the best value, consider changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Filter your search:
- Start by selecting vacation dates and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Sand Dunes Resort 1004 - Ocean view! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what is best for your vacation.
- Does your family require specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- During check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of issues.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
