Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Book your Myrtle Beach rental home in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Start by selecting trip dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Sands Beach Club II Unit 1115 - Oceanfront has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
- Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you love, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be respectful. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to inspire more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
