Strategies to get the very best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Selecting the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose your dates and max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Studio Suite with Ocean Views- Sea Mist 20607 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
Considerations for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Contact the rental manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of issues.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
