Tricks and tips to get the perfect rental home experience:
Find your best deal:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To find the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning and choosing your Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Select vacation week and budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Stunning Oceanview Studio\/ Full Kitchen! Dogs OK! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you book your home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what bed configuration is optimal for your group.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or applied to your agreement.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Have a fantastic stay:
- Add the property manager's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the host immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to stimulate new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
