How to find the best rental experience:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, try changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to choose and book the best Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Sweet Oceanview Villa 1bd\/1ba Myrtle Beach has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you love, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
More tips for your stay:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
- Upon check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a great vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
