How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by choosing potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 11th-floor ocean-view studio with beach access, pools & hot tubs has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Some things to know before you go:
- Add the host's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of concerns.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, note any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the host immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
