Tricks and tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
How to get the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, try shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose your vacation week and budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 4th-floor studio with pool, hot tub, & AC has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking websites. Otherwise, call the host before reserving the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
- If your family is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you crave, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Know before you go:
- Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- To make sure damages are not attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas during arrival. Contact the rental manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a great vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
