Strategies to get the optimal vacation home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Book your vacation home in the Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have discounts for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Choosing the best vacation rental:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. NEW Beautiful Home *2 miles from Beach* Centrally located *Comfortable Green has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, call the property manager before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. message the property manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a great time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
