How to get the best rental home experience:
Sticking to your spending plan:
- Book your Myrtle Beach rental home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.
How to select the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose vacation dates and budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. New for June 2023 All New!! Taking Reservations Now w\/Great Rates! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property owner before reserving your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Call the property manager right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a fantastic time? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
