Tips and Tricks to get the optimal Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to choose the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by having your family commit to dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. New for June 2023 All New!! Taking Reservations Now w\/Great Rates! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. If not, contact the property owner before you book the rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your trip.
- Does your family require unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- During arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of issues.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a great time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
