Our top Myrtle Beach vacation rental booking tips and tricks:
Finding your best deal:
- To find the best value, change your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Planning and picking a perfectrental:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Sheraton Broadway Resort
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
- Does your group require unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
More considerations for your visit:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
- To make certain damages are not attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. text the property manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
