Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Finding the best value:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.

Selecting the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • To start, have your family select a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Wyndham SeaWatch
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. If not, call the property management company before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking

Advice for a terrific stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Upon check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
