Tips to get the very best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- To book the most suitable rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Start by having your family commit to the best dates and a spending budget.
- Four 2BR\/2BA Suites has 8 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is right for your trip.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
- If your family is bringing pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
During your stay:
- Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
