Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.

Selecting the best rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Wyndham SeaWatch
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before booking the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Record any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to compel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
