Tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Some hosts offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning and choosing the rightvacation home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Four 2BR\/2BA Suites has 12 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often available online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you book your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

More tips for your visit:

  • Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many concerns.
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • At Check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a terrific time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
