Our top Rental home booking tips and tricks:

Getting the best rental value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Booking in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Start by having your family decide on trip dates and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Ocean view Queen Suite condo 10th floor\n has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available online. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before reserving your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is right for your vacation group.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • To make sure that damages are not linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. text the property manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many difficulties.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
